The Adelaide Street circuit hosted Formula 1 races between 1985 and 1995. The most memorable races were the two rain-soaked events in 1989 and 1991, where only 14 laps were completed in the latter. The circuit will also be remembered for almost claiming the life of Mika Hakkinen in 1995.
