A review of Firefight
Despite being nearly 30, I enjoyed the Jedi Apprentice series by Jude Watson. I enjoyed the Jedi Quest series by Jude Watson. I also very much enjoyed the Last of the Jedi series by Jude Watson. Having read the first 3 books in this Rebel Force series, I found myself enjoying this series too… until now!This book was by far the weakest in the series and there are very few good things I can say about it. Not much happened. The story had very little to do with the rest of the series and what little plot there was would have been more suited to a 1950’s B movie!
The introduction of yet another character from the Jedi Quest and Last of the Jedi series was as predictable as it was boring and once again left me wondering whether Alex Wheeler is in fact Jude Watson in disguise. I really hope this isn’t the case because I like Jude Watson.
I really don’t want to slate this book because I like the series very much which is why I’m hoping that it will be redeemed in the next book when the story returns to the main plot.
