Eddie has said that the recent class win in the Spa Francorchaps 10 hour race is testament to the IMSD Racing's professionalism and all round excellent team work.

In a recent interview, Eddie was full of praise for the whole team and said that this result puts them back on course in the Clubman championship.

“It’s true that we have had a difficult start to the season. We were discussing this on the ferry over to France and we basically all agreed that we were not doing as good a job – especially in the pits. I personally felt that our pitstops were not as good as they were last year and we made a concerted effort to raise our game for this race. I think the fact that we had perfect pitstops throughout the weekend speaks volumes for the team’s professionalism and ability to work together.”

Eddie also went on to congratulate all the team members.

“I mean what can I say? The weekend wasn’t without its problems for us, but we all drove brilliantly and won on both days by quite a margin.

“All the guys drove brilliantly in very difficult conditions. Certainly Ian (Wilson) has had very little experience in the wet and he openly admitted to not feeling confident out there. I’m pretty sure he had by far the worst weather in his stints, but he didn’t put a foot wrong and drove flawlessly.

“Ian (Miller) is always consistent but he really showed his fighting spirit in his sprint race. The comeback he made after he got taken out at the start was fantastic. I mean he was just slicing through the traffic!

“Stephen – I mean what can I say? He runs and organises the team, he takes care of most of the strategy, he organised everything for the team at Spa and he still has enough left to be bloody quick on the track!”

When asked about his own performance, Eddie was his usual modest self but was obviously happy:

“I have no complaints! Actually, to be honest, I am pretty chuffed with myself! I thought I did a good job in qualifying. After only a short practice session where I didn’t feel particularly comfortable, I put in a fairly good lap to qualify 8th overall (and top Clubman) and I certainly don’t have any complaints about my race pace. My starts were good, I was consistent, I was carving my way through traffic, I raced with – and beat – a good number of the top guys again, and I’m just growing in confidence all the time!”
