Eddie will make a one-off appearance for Team Sugar Hut at this weekend's Intermediate Endurance, sparking more speculation as to where he will be driving next season.

In a late deal Eddie confirmed that he will stand in and partner regular driver Jordan Hill for the Bayford Meadows event, which is held after the Premier race in the morning.

Eddie, who won the Inters Championship with IMSD Racing in 2005, elaborated briefly about the drive but refused to commit to speculation that this would lead to a full time drive for 2008.

”I’ve agreed to do this one race with Jordan. He's a nice guy and he’s also very quick. Sugar Hut needed a second driver for this event and we both agreed that it would be mutually beneficial for this one race.

“I’m happy to be joining Sugar Hut for this one race because they are a quick team. They are currently running 5th in the Inters Championship and they won the last round at Clay, so it’s definitely a team that is going places.

“I have to stress that I am just standing in for their regular second driver. My plans are still very much open for next year.”

Sugar Hut are one of seven teams in the championship run under Howard Kayman’s racing banner. They run a chain of Thai restaurants and bars/clubs. For more information, visit their website at www.sugarhutworld.com.

So it will be a busy day for Eddie as he will be competing in the Premier Championship in the morning and the Inters championship in the afternoon.
