Eddie and the rest of the 3Cubed team were in action today at Rye House for the last pre-season test before the new season. Eddie described himself as being ‘extremely happy’ with the test session.
”It was great seeing all the guys today. This is the first time that all of us have been together since joining 3Cubed and it was good running together and gauging how competitive we all are in relation to each other.
“As expected, we are all pretty evenly matched and ran very closely together. We were also experimenting with the position of the pedals and established that we are all comfortable with the same position, which will mean less hassle in the pits.”
The team ran two karts with the four regular drivers being joined by Julian Withington.
“To be honest, today was really just a bit of fun. It was good for all of us to get together and have a bit of a play out on track, as well as for everybody to get to grips with the new equipment before the first race this Saturday.”
Once again, Eddie was full of praise for the new team and is confident of a strong showing in 2008.
“I really enjoyed today and I am extremely happy with the results. Like I said, we are all pretty evenly matched in terms of pace, which is encouraging. I think we’re all pretty reliable and we all get on really well. We’ve already gelled well as a team and I think we could spring a surprise or two this year.”
