Second place is a good start

The first race of the premier season got under way on February 26th.

The Saturday endurance race saw Eddie and his Galliard team mates Paul Williams and Kieran McCullough score pole position and fastest lap of the race. However, a snapped chain coupled with being driven off the road by a rival team saw the trio finish 13th in class.

The Sunday sprint race was a lot more successful. A newly created Clubman championship and a completely revised format seemed to suit Eddie and he scored a 3rd and 6th in his two qualifying heats to line up second on the grid for the first final. A bad start saw Eddie have to battle his way back through the field, eventually finishing 7th for the first final. The second final saw Eddie starting on the inside line in 3rd and he slotted into second off the line. Trailing Jonny Goddard by three-tenths of a second for the entire race, he was unable to pass and settled for second place.
