| I dunno possibly. I have really enjoyed reading about Jacen's downfall and this book dealt with more of Jacen and less of the other smaller sub plots so from that point of view I liked this more than most of the previous ones. In this book we see Jacen finally become a Sith Lord and take his Darth title (I won't spoil it for those of you who don't know). There are a few shocks and surprises along the way and we say a sad farewell to a very popular character indeed (again I won't spoil it... or have I already??!!). There are a few things mentioned that I feel are related to the Legacy comics set 100 years further into the future (the identity of Darth Krayt perhaps?). Karen Traviss is obviously tieing her "Boba Fett sub plot" into her Clone Wars era Republic Commando books, which is good, although I am finding the ideas of his "family members" who keep appearing a bit hard to take. Just because we know more canon history now because of the prequels, I can't help feeling that some things are just better left unanswered... leave something to the imagination. |
