Lord Depravus Says

Good for a kids book - 31-Jan-08

I admit to being a bit apprehensive about buying this book. There were two reasons for this: Firstly, it is a young readers book and I'm an adult. As a result, I wasn't sure whether I would enjoy it. Secondly, I thought Dave Wolverton's last attempt at a Star Wars novel (The Courtship of Princess Leia) was by far and away the worst book I've ever read.

Fortunately, it wasn't anywhere near as bad as I was expecting. The overall story was very good and it was fun reading about Obi-Wan Kenobi as a young boy.

Having said that, there were a few bits of the story that I found a bit hard to take, like the bullying carried out by some of the young Jedi and the whole argicultural corp thing but other than that it was a fairly solid read.
