Synopsis
Obi-Wan has left Qui-Gon and the Jedi to help the Young end the wars on Melida/Daan. The Young eventually win the war, but then are left with establishing a new government, rebuilding after the war, and all the other problems of running a war torn planet.
Meanwhile, Qui-Gon returns to Coruscant with Tahl, the Jedi he rescued. They are soon informed by Yoda that someone is stealing things and vandalizing the temple. As the problems escalate, Qui-Gon is assigned the task of nabbing the culprit. But how far will the problems go?
Lord Depravus Says
Obvious end to a silly story - 09-Feb-08
Now I know that these books are aimed at kids and it is a nice idea to have a story where kids run the place, but I think it is a bit too far fetched in certain areas. Also, I think Jude Watson made the children sound a bit too old. They were all talking like adults rather than children.
Something annoying I have noticed in this series is how often people "cry" things out. I'm constantly reading how "he cried out" and "blah blah blah she cried". I think Jude Watson needs a thesaurus. Why can't people exclaimthings or better yet just say things calmly?!
The ending to the book was so inevitable almost to the point of being pointless. It is a shame because I like Jude Watson's writing and up to the pervious book, I was really enjoying the series.
