I liked this book. For one I am a fan of Darth Maul and it was good to read more about him and gain more of an insight into his character.

The story is believeable and the sort of undercover sabotage missions he goes on are the sort of things you would expect from a cult (The Sith) who are trying to remain unnoticed while working to gain power.

This story also gives us slightly more depth into the dealings between the Trade Federation and Darth Sidious, which leads nicely into Cloak of Deception, Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter and, of course, The Phantom Menace.
