Eddie will definately be competing in the sprint championship again next year and may even participate in more endurance races. This news comes after it was publically announced that Eddie has joined 'Data Partners', a Mersea-based internet company.
"I am absolutely delighted with this" were Eddie's comments yesterday. "It has been a hard couple of months. There had been a few discussions with other people but they all fell through. I went up to Mersea to speak with Peter Banks and felt instantly comfortable. There was a really nice atmosphere there and everybody seemed genuinely nice. I can foresee this being a really successful partnership."
When asked what impact this had on next year, Eddie replied "It is obviously brilliant news! It means I can definately compete in a full season of the sprint championship again and maybe even do more endurance racing. I know Stephen Deuchar's IMSD Racing team are moving up to the intermediate series full time next year and it would be nice to do some racing with him again. We'll just have to see."
This new deal, ironically, comes exactly three years to the day that Eddie first signed for Frontmedia. Eddie was quick to praise his former employers. "I still have a fantastic relationship with all the guys there. We still keep in touch and I will always be grateful to them for helping me get to where I am today and giving me the opportunity to go racing again."
