Whilton Redemption?

Eddie is going to Whilton Mill this weekend desparate to put behind him his costly mistake from last season. Eddie had his strongest showing of 2003 at this circuit last March, qualifying second on the grid in the B final.

He was on top form that day, consistently setting comparable lap times to the leaders. On the opening lap, however, he spun whilst passing Andrea Fioravanti for the lead, losing himself a place in the A final.

Eddie was distraught after the event and admitted that it took him most of the season to get over such a costly and unnecessary mistake.

However, this year he has said that he is more focused and determined to do well and that he takes great confidence in the knowledge that he knows he is quick on this circuit.

"Last year was an absolute nightmare for me. Whilton Mill was really the only race that I looked even remotely competative. So far this season in the Heavyweight class I have had much better results, which has obviously bolstered my confidence. I just have to believe I can be just as quick, if not quicker, here than I was last year."
