Eddie was once again on form as he contested the first test session at Buckmore Park on Saturday.
After yet another wet start, the track dried out by the time of his third run of the day and Eddie was in scintilating form, lapping the 1200 metre circuit at considerable speed.
The test was full of incident as several newcomers had incidents, one of them bringing out the red flag. Eddie had no such problems as he showed off his intentions for the coming season.
Eddie's manager was very pleased with his drivers performance. "He has this fluid style when he is on form and the way he just carves his way through traffic is brilliant. It just flows nicely".
Despite three extremely encouraging tests, Eddie is still being reserved about his chances in 2002. "I just want to try my best and finish as high as I can in the championship. I'm not thinking too much about the championship this year, Im just want to learn".
The season gets under way in two weeks time at Buckmore Park.
