The whole IMSD Racing team have been full of praise for each other after what has been billed as a perfect season for the entire squad. Taking the Inters crown has just been the latest triumph in what has been an exceptional year. With 5 wins so far, including class wins at both the Spa 10 Hour race and the Lance Yeomans Memorial race, as well as the junior star Sth Scott Deuchar winning the Formula 6 Royale championship at his first attempt, the season could not really have gone any better.
Team captain Stephen Deuchar said: "Winning this championship is a superb achievement for the team. I think the chief reasons for our success have been the cool, reliability and steady speed of all the drivers, our clever strategies, and demon pitwork. I shouldn't really single anyone out for particular praise, but I would say that Eddie Hall, our youngest driver, has been getting quicker and quicker all year and is now one of the acknowledged stars of the whole Inters field. We're all looking forward to moving up to the Clubman's class in the Premier championship next season, but meanwhile we've got some celebrating to do........"
Eddie himself echoed his sentiments by adding: "This has just been an incredible season. I still can't quite get over just what we've achieved over the last few months. We are just a fantastic team and the atmosphere and general attitude of the guys has been brilliant and has really helped my personal performance on the track this year. My confidence is higher than it has ever been and this is all thanks to the team!"
With still one race left to run, the team can now relax. Nevertheless, they are still focusing on getting a win at Buckmore to cement their position at the pinacle of the championship.
