Eddie hopeful of continued form

Eddie is hoping that IMSD Racing can continue its improved form this weekend at Rye House. The team made huge gains last time out at Shenington and Eddie says he hopes the team will continue with this trend.

“At Shenington we did a better job than we have done for a long time. We got the kart sorted in practice and our pit work was great. We have to make sure that we do at least as good a job at Rye House – particularly in getting the kart right as this makes such a huge difference in the Premier championship.”

Although confident in the team’s ability to maintain momentum, Eddie was nevertheless cagey about his predictions for the race.

“It’s difficult to say. As long as we get it together in practice we should be in similar shape to where we were at Shenington. We know where we should be and we have to aim for that every race. As things stand I think our target should be to finish inside the top 10. At the moment I think we’ll struggle to get much higher than that but providing we have a good race we should be up there somewhere.”

As always Eddie was keen to get back to the action, despite his reservations about the circuit.

“I’m looking forward to the race. It’s been a long 2 and a half weeks and I’m keen to get back behind the wheel. To be honest I’m not a great fan of Rye House. Out of all the circuits on the calendar it is my least favourite and I’ve never personally had great results there in the past. Still we had a good test earlier in the year [with Steve and Seth] so we should be in good shape.”
