In a recent deal, it has been confirmed that Eddie will take part in the Daytona 500 at Milton Keynes at the end of May. Eddie has been invited by Buckmore Park Grand Prix League driver, Stuart Belbin, to join a four man team for the 500Km event. The team will consist of other top Buckmore Park GPL drivers, Dave Tebbutt and Andy Ming (this trio finishing 1st, 2nd and 3rd at the most recent GPL race).
This is the third time that Eddie has been invited to race with the team. Last year he was prevented from competing in the PPK 8 Hour at Daytona because he was deemed to be “too professional” for the class. He was also invited to compete in the Le Mans 24 Hour race this year but had to turn down the drive due to budget constraints, a fact that he has recently been quite public in his disdain of.
The Daytona 500 will be held on Sunday 28th May in twin engine Pro-Karts. This will make quite a hectic weekend for Eddie as he will be competing in the Club100 Endurance race in Dorset on the Saturday.
