Eddie has admitted that he thought his 3 place deduction for contact was a little bit unfair.
"I admit that the second heat was very scappy. People all around me were banging wheels and hitting each other and generally driving a bit too aggressively. I don't recall actually hitting anyone myself but you just have to accept what the officials see."
Even some of Eddie's rivals questioned his penalty. "Michael McAnery came up to me afterwards and siad that he thought it was a bit harsh".
Eddie was again cautioned by the clerk of the course after the third heat. "I was bollocked for driving too aggressively but I didn't see the point in trying to argue - there's nothing you can do. Just accept their point of view and take it on the chin!"
