In other 2011 news, Eddie has finally confirmed recent rumours that he will move up to the Premier sprint championship next year. Although contract negotiations are still being held, it is believed that he will also continue to race with Galliard in the Premier endurance series.

No details have yet been released about the winter, European or Open championship dates. Although refusing to comment on details, Eddie admitted that he and fellow Avit Racing team mate Rich Higham were both in negotiations with sponsors, leading to speculation about them forming a second Avit team or possibly even splitting away from Avit entirely. The rumour mill went into overdrive at the last race at Glan-y-Gors when the two were seen leaving Higham Management’s Carlsberg sponsored motorhome.
