After another disappointing weekend in the Premier championship at Llandow in Wales, Eddie returned to a happier setting of the 60 Minute Challenge Championship where he proceeded to extend his championship lead with team mate Rich Higham.

It was Higham who qualified and duly lined up second on the grid behind Marc Craddock. Despite losing out and dropping to third at the start by virtue of being on the outside, Higham quickly got back into second and then took the lead on lap 2. He held of Craddock for most of his 20 minute stint before pitting, still in the lead.

Unfortunately, he got held up in the pits by the pusher kart and lost several seconds. There was another problem to contend with in the form of an exhaust flex that was cracked. Eddie was lucky not to be called into the pits during his last 40 minute stint.

Despite setting similar lap times to the leader, Eddie couldn’t close the gap enough. Having to drive conservatively and avoid the curbs also hampered his chances of catching Craddock and he settled for second place.

With Tim Hill and James Taylor finishing third and Glen Beard fourth, Eddie and Rich extended their lead in the championship going into the last three races.
