Suffolk welcomed the drivers with some extremely hot weather today and this made for some good racing. It was yet another new circuit for Eddie to learn, but after some fairly solid performances in the last few races, he was confident of another good race.

Starting seventh in the first heat of the day, Eddie made a cautious start on the unfamiliar track and dropped several places. Over the course of the eight laps heat, Eddie made up ground to finally finish a distant ninth. Eddie's second heat was a huge disappointment. Starting from pole, Eddie again was too slow at the start and lost several places. Struggling to come to terms with the track, Eddie dropped way back to again finish ninth.

"I simply wasn't quick enough today. Once I found a decent line, I found I was no quicker than the guys in front and couldn't make up ground. All in all a bit disappointing but I am learning all the time."

Eddie's third heat wasn't much better either. Starting from last place on the grid, Eddie struggled with a sticking throttle and could manage no better than 12th at the finish. A disappointed Eddie said afterwards "For the first half of the heat, the throttle was sticking, it was an intermitant problem and it seemed to cure itself over the last couple of laps (after a few helpful kicks!).

These results put Eddie in tenth position for the B final. Again making a slow start, Eddie drove sensibly and picked of a handful of drivers to get as high as eighth before running wide at the last hairpin dropped him back to tenth again.

These results are all provisional and a full race report will be sent to all members of the official fanclub within the next few days.
