It has been announced that Eddie will lose sponsorship from Frontmedia as from the end of June. The announcement made today comes after weeks of rumours that Eddie has budget problems.
Eddie was told the situation three weeks ago but it has only now become public knowledge. In an interview this evening, Eddie said that he was sad to end the partnership as it has been highly successful and profitable over the last three years. He did say that he would be maintaining links with the company in some form or another.
It is as yet unclear what Eddie will do as far as his future racing plans are concerned. Eddie said that he may not be able to compete in any more endurance races after Wales, although his sprint races will remain unaffected as he has already signed until the end of the season.
